Weekly Time Calendar
Email from Angela Oldham:
Good morning, I have been working on time and leave audits for 2022 and after working on this year after year I find the same thing, employees are either NOT entering their leave correctly and supervisors or departmental leave coordinators are approving time without checking to make sure all time is accounted for.
I want to make sure as a supervisor or leave coordinator that you are aware of a tool called the weekly time calendar (link to training video below for manager). I would not approve any time worked until I reviewed this to make sure the employee's week is whole (time worked + leave + holiday = the employee's weekly hours). It is the employee's responsibility to first make sure they enter their leave appropriately. It is then your responsibility to make sure it is done before you approve their time and if you find the leave has not been submitted then you will need to reach out to the employee for them to submit the leave request so you can approve their time and their leave for that week. Also, when you go into the timesheet to approve time you also need to make sure all punches for each day are there, if you see an exception alarm that means they possibly missed a punch and that needs to be corrected before approving their time as well.
Please work with me on this going forward and as with anything, If I can help you in any way please let me know.
