Login to the My Pack Portal and navigate to the My Profile page in MarketPlace.
Main Navigator > Financial System > MarketPlace > My Profile page
Update the fields listed below.
FedEx User
Check the box to indicate FedEx shipping.
Pick up Location
Click on the magnifying glass after the My Pickup Location field. That will give you a window with two search options. One is for ‘Ship to’ location, the other is for ‘Description.’ In the Description field type the building name (e.g. Thomas) and click the ‘Look Up’ button. You will see a list of rooms we have for “Thomas.” The number at the end is the room number or the suite number. Click on the room number you want to use for FedEx to pickup your shipments.
Project ID
Select a Project ID by clicking on the magnifying glass and searching selecting from the list. If you do not see the project ID’s you need contact your SAR administrator and ask for access to those project ID’s.
Additional Project ID(s)
Add/remove multiple project ID’s by clicking on the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ sign to the far right of the line and searching for the next project id by clicking the magnifying glass.
FINISH
Click SAVE.
User ID and Password
You will receive an email within 3-5 business days with a new FedEx user ID and password.
My Profile page
Before you can begin ordering from the MarketPlace, the My Profile page in MarketPlace will need to be completed.
Login to the My Pack Portal and navigate to the My Profile page in MarketPlace: Navigator > Financial System > MarketPlace > My Profile page.
Fill in the fields listed below.
When finished, click the Save button.
You can now begin ordering from MarketPlace.
Phone Number
Update the phone number in the display field. The phone number needs all 10 numbers. Follow the format to the right of the field.
Ship To
Click on the magnifying glass after the Ship to field. That will give you a window with two search options. One is for ;Ship to’ location, the other is for ‘Description’. In the Description field type the building name (e.g. Thomas) and click the Look Up button. That will give you a list of rooms we have for “Thomas.” The number at the end is the room number or the suite number. Click on the room number you want to use.
Project ID
Select a Project ID by clicking on the magnifying glass. A list of project ID’s you have been granted access to will be listed. If you do not see the project ID’s you need, contact your SAR administrator and ask for access to those project ID’s.
Workflow Attributes
Make sure there is a check in the checkbox for Email User under Workflow Attributes.
Finish
Click Save.

To begin using Amazon on MarketPlace you will need to create a business account for Amazon.
Navigate to the Create Requisitions page in MarketPlace.
Click on the Amazon catalog link.
On the Amazon welcome page, click on the continue button to begin the process of registering with Amazon MarketPlace.
Enter your name and create a password. Confirm your password. This password is unique to your unity ID password and can be anything you want. When finished, click on the Create Account button.
Click the complete button on the next page to confirm your account.
Click the Confirm and Continue button to confirm your email address.
On the final confirmation page, Click the Confirm and Continue button.
Your account has been created and you can begin ordering from Amazon.
To place a MarketPlace order, follow the steps outlined below.
Select a Supplier
The first step to begin placing a MarketPlace order is to select the supplier you want to purchase from. There are a few options to accomplish this step:
Click on a supplier logo listed under My Top Suppliers to access a supplier catalog out of those you buy from most often.
Click on a category under MY MARKETPLACE to locate suppliers by category.
Click on SHOP ALL SUPPLIERS to access supplier catalogs in alphabetical order.
Click on a Supplier Logo
For example, let’s select the OFFICE SUPPLIES category.
Next, let’s click on the Office Depot logo.
Please note: supplier catalogs may have a different look.
Search for the Items you Want to Buy
For example, let’s search for pens.
Add Item(s) to the Shopping Cart
Enter the quantity needed and click Add to Cart.
Note: Some suppliers have Quote to Order functionality. Quote to Order allows the supplier representative to create a quote for the items you want to purchase and publish the quote on their catalog quote section. You can retrieve the quote, transfer to the shopping cart, and continue the checkout process.
Click on the Check Out Button
Clicking on the CHECK OUT will begin the checkout process.
Review the “Checkout - Review and Submit” Page
The information at the top of this page is populated from the My Profile page. If you need to make updates to your profile, follow the instructions for how to Set Up the My Profile Page or watch this short tutorial video.
Editable Fields
The following fields that are listed in the Checkout - Review and Submit page can be edited as needed. Specific information about each field is listed on the next page. phone number the supplier will use to contact you if there are questions regarding your order. Phone numbers must have the following format: (XXX/XXX-XXXX).

Requisition Name
This optional field allows you to name your order for easy identification on the Manage Receivers and Order History pages.

Ship To Address
This is where your package will be delivered. To change your Ship To Address:
Click on the magnifying glass for the Ship To field.
A window will open with two search options: Ship to Location and Description.
In the Description field type your building name (i.e. Thomas) and click on the Look Up button.
Click to select from the available list of rooms.
Project ID
This is the fund source to which your entire order will be charged. There are a couple of ways to change the Project ID: for the entire order and by line item.
METHOD 1: For the Entire Order
Click on Adjust Distributions.
Click on the magnifying glass for the SpeedType Key field.
Select the Project ID.
Click the OK button.
Click Yes to proceed with the changes.
METHOD 2: By Line Item
Click on the triangle to the left of a line item to open the Accounting Line for that item [or click the Expand All link to open the Accounting Lines for all items} and change the Project ID.
Changing an Account Code
While you are making adjustments to the Project ID, verify that the Account Code associated with this line item is correct. If the Account Code needs to be updated, follow the steps outlined below:
Click on the triangle to the left of a line item to open the Accounting Line for that item. An Account code is automatically assigned to every line item.
Change the Account code by clicking on the magnifying glass and search for the preferred Account code.
If you are unsure of what account to use, contact your Business Office.

Requisition Lines
These are the items that you want to purchase.

Requisition Comments and Attachments
This field is for internal use only and is used to convey information, such as business purpose, for your approval group.

Approval Justification
This field is for Approvers only. Do not use this field for placing an order.
Save for Later, Save and Submit, or Cancel Requisition
In this final step you will decide if you want to: Save and Submit, Save for Later, or Cancel Requisition. These options are displayed at the bottom of the page.
Save and Submit: Submit and route your order for approval.
Save for Later: Put your order on hold.
Cancel Requisition: Cancels your order.

When the supplier receives an order, the Requester will receive an Order Confirmation email. This email is very important! Make sure you save this email in an easy-to-access folder.
The Order Confirmation email and any relevant attachments will contain:
Order number
Customer Service contact information
List of tem(s) purchased
You will access the information listed in the Order Confirmation email whenever you need to conduct any of the following actions:
Track an order
Verify accuracy of an order
Receive an order
Return an order
Cancel an order
Make sure to review the contents of the Order Confirmation immediately to verify that it matches your order.
All MarketPlace orders require receiving within two business days of delivery. To receive an order after the shipment arrives, follow the steps outlined below:
Inspect order contents immediately
Open the package and find the packing slip inside or the delivery ticket on the outside of the box.
Match the items listed on the delivery ticket or packing slip with the actual items delivered.
Inspect all items to ensure they are not damaged and that they are the correct items you ordered.
Enter a Receiving Report
Begin by navigating to the Manage Receivers page: MyPack Portal > Financial System Homepage > MarketPlace > Manage Receivers
Select your order from the list of open orders that have not been fully received, which will be listed in this section.
If you want to search for a specific order, use one or more of the fields in the Receiver Search Page to narrow or broaden the search, as listed in the image below. Click the Search button to bring up your search results.
To view the PO lines that need to be received, click the Expand triangle icon.
For example:
In the Qty Accept field, mark the quantity of each line item that you are keeping.
In the Qty Reject field, mark the quantity of each line item that you are returning or that was canceled.
Pick the correct Received Date.
Click on Save & Create Receipt to create the Receiver.
Your order will now be marked as received and you will see the following message:
Cancel a Receiver
If the order was recently received and has not been charged, you can cancel the receiver.

Search for the order on the Manage Receivers page using the PO Number or the Receipt Number.
Click on the Search button.
When the order comes up, click on the grey triangle to expand the line.
Click on the red X symbol.
A window will pop up, asking if you want to cancel the receiver. Click on Yes.
The receiver is now cancelled. You can create a new receiver for that order.
Contact the supplier’s customer service department using the information provided in the Order Confirmation email.
Once the return has been authorized, follow the instructions provided by the supplier’s customer service department.
Enter the returned items on the Manage Receivers page with the quantity returned in the Qty Reject field.
Navigate to MyPack Portal > Financial System Homepage > MarketPlace tile.
Click on the Shop the MarketPlace tile.
Click on the Amazon Business icon.
If you are not redirected immediately to Amazon Punchout, click on Click here.
Click on the Account drop-down menu and click on Your Orders.
Sign in with your NCSU Amazon Business password.
Click on Your Orders.
Enter the order number.
Click on Search.
Select the item you would like to return; click on Return or Replace items.
Click on the item(s) to be returned.
Select the reason for the return. Depending on the reason you will be given the option to return or replace your item. Not all items are eligible for return or replacement.
Note the Return by date.
Refund Method will be displayed. Click on Continue.
Select the method for returning the item(s).
Click on Confirm Your Return.
If you need assistance, click on the Contact us to obtain help from the Amazon Business help desk.
To cancel an item or an order, follow the steps outlined below:
Contact the supplier’s customer service department using the information provided in the Order Confirmation email.
Once the cancelation has been authorized, enter the canceled items on the Manage Receivers page with the quantity canceled in the Qty Reject field.
Email the Help Desk at help@ncsu.edu to notify that the order has been canceled. Make sure to enter the word MarketPlace and the Req ID in the subject line.
Your order history is located in the Manage Requisitions section of MyPack Portal. This page allows you to search orders using filters such as Requester Name, Requisition ID, Requisition Name, and many other options.
Search results will be displayed upon clicking the Search button.
By default, the search results will display orders from the last seven days. To search for older orders change the Date From field and the Date To field or combine additional fields to narrow your search.
The dropdown box at the end of each line item titled [Select Action] will display action items allowed on that order based upon the status of the order. For example, to edit an order, it must be in an Open or Pending status.
Click the [Select Action] dropdown box.
Click Edit and click Go.
Make needed changes.
Click Save and Submit.
To view order details, click the printer icon for a specific order. A new window will open displaying order details, such as part numbers and billing details, which can be used for future reference.
