U.S. Graduate School Applications

To be given full consideration for admission and assistantships/fellowships, applications must be received by January 1st for the fall term and September 1st for the spring term (deadlines vary). Generally, applications are encouraged for the fall semester. Some departments process applications on a rolling basis.

Northwestern is the only law school in the country offering a one-year degree designed specifically for STEM graduates. Our students:

  • Receive a foundational education in the intersecting areas of Law, Business, and Technology;

Open PhD position in computational chemistry - Nancy, France

The goal of this project is to probe the limits of the existing theoretical techniques to describe the physical-chemical properties of solutions next to an inorganic surface and to develop new, more adapted tools to treat reactive systems, particularly in the presence of a nanoconfined phase. The project will be performed in the Theoretical Physics and Chemistry Department (Université de Lorraine-CNRS), Nancy, France. The position is sponsored by the French Government ("Allocation de recherche", 3 years). Please contact us to learn more details about the project.

The successful candidate will have an M2 degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science and will be strongly motivated to perform research in a theoretical/computational field. Good knowledge of English is mandatory, good communication skills will be strongly appreciated as well as an interest in mobility (short-term research stays in other laboratories, participation to international conferences during the PhD).
