Getting Started

Go to figma.com and make an account
You can verify your educator affiliation to receive Figma Pro features for free
Use templates or create your own collaboration boards for classes, workshops, or presentations

To share, start an open session before class. That way anyone will be able to edit the whiteboard
Lock all objects before inviting collaborators. Any unlocked objects can be dragged around the whiteboard
Switch between the Hand tool and Pointer tool to move around the whiteboard and zoom in and out (respectively)
Utilize templates, as building from scratch can be difficult
Multiplayer cursors are on by default, and each individual user must turn them off
- Go to the top left "F" menu, then "View," and uncheck "Multiplayer Cursors"
Figjam has many add-ons, including stickers, emojis, and GIFs, which cannot be removed or turned off and can cause distractions
