Access VoiceThread the first time through a Moodle course to create your account. You can create a link to your VoiceThread homepage and then dive into assignment creation and presentations.
Moodle course > Editing on > Add an activity or resource > External tool > VoiceThread > Activity Name: VoiceThread Home > Choose VoiceThread from the drop-down menu > Select Content > VT Home Page > Publish > Save and Return to Course

After creating an account via Moodle, you can also access VoiceThread.com and log in with your NC State Google account.
Integrate VoiceThread into your Moodle course by using the "External Tool" option when creating a new activity.
Students can:
Interact with a VoiceThread by adding comments. Instructors can allow text, audio or video comments.
Create their own VoiceThread and share it with instructors and classmates using a group or a link.
Instructors can:
Upload presentations (Google Slides, PowerPoint or PDF) and add a video "comment" to create side by side presentation with slides and video.
Create a VoiceThread where students can add a slide for an assignment.
Create a group for your students following the instructions here if you are a College of Education faculty, staff or grad student teaching a class.
