DELTA invites faculty and staff supporting distance education (DE) programs at NC State to join us on March 11, 2026, for the Spring 2026 DE Program Faculty and Staff Forum. This annual event brings together colleagues from across campus to discuss timely topics shaping distance education, explore emerging technologies and trends, and gain insights into university initiatives and updates impacting DE programs at NC State. It's designed to provide meaningful opportunities for professional growth and collaboration.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope you leave with fresh ideas and a renewed sense of connection within our DE community.
The theme of the Spring 2026 DE Program Faculty and Staff Forum is "Advancing DE Programs through Collaboration, Innovation, and Strategic Alignment." You will engage in meaningful conversations, gain practical takeaways, and discover resources and strategies to support your role and enhance DE programs.
Here’s a preview of what you can look forward to at the forum:
Insights into Key University and DELTA Initiatives: Learn about NC State’s Online Education Initiative, including its purpose, goals, and current progress, while gaining insight into strategic priorities and opportunities for online education at NC State. We’ll also provide an update on the upcoming LMS transition from Moodle to Canvas, including the process, timeline, and resources to help navigate the transition.
Informative and Engaging Sessions: Hear from DELTA’s Marketing and Communications team as they share how they are elevating the NC State Online brand and increasing the visibility of DE programs, including five research-backed strategies to engage prospective students more effectively. You’ll also hear from a cross-college panel that will explore the diverse support models of distance education across NC State, focusing on how programs are managed, supported, and guided at both the college and program levels. Panelists will share perspectives on navigating college priorities, leveraging resources, and the strategies and practices that help sustain programs and achieve enrollment and program goals.
Networking & Refreshments: Connect with colleagues, share experiences, and exchange ideas, all while enjoying light refreshments.
The Forum is free and open to all faculty and staff involved in or supporting distance education programs at NC State. If you plan to attend, please complete the Forum RSVP form to help us ensure adequate seating and refreshments.
