The Rob Hogan Encouraging Inclusion and Innovation Within Agriculture Award

Purpose: To recognize a Central Piedmont Junior Livestock Show exhibitor from a non-traditional farming background who is actively participating in a 4-H or FFA livestock project. Emphasis is placed on historically disenfranchised populations, low-income youth, and/or youth that come from areas considered to be food deserts as defined by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service. The recipient will have demonstrated good sportsmanship while at the show. The award aims to encourage the selected youth to reinvest in their livestock project and continue to learn more about agriculture with a possible intent to pursue a career later in the industry. This award will not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, political beliefs, family and marital status, sex, age, veteran status, sexual identity, sexual orientation, genetic information, or disability.
