Hi! I chose ChemE because it offers me the chance to build my own path through engineering. I have been able to combine and indulge in each of my interests- I have never had to choose between engineering, biology, medicine, or music. I became an ambassador because helping other students realize the opportunities that await them is so important! Everyone should have the ability to truly make the most out of their education.
Contact me if you're interested in the biomolecular engineering concentration, biotechnology minor, biochemistry research focusing on cancer treatment, pre-med, music at NC State
My name is Anna Russell, and I am a senior studying chemical engineering with a minor in business. I chose chemical engineering because I love math and chemistry and wanted to apply those interests to improving and optimizing the chemical industry. One of my favorite parts of my experience has been the strong chemical engineering community at NC State.
Contact me if you are interested in Business!
Hi I'm Anna! I am chemical engineer because it combines my love of chemistry and biology with process engineering and efficiency. The community at NC State is my favorite part of being a chemical engineering student, and I hope to help share that community with fellow students as a CHE ambassador. I am interested in pharmaceutical research and development, and currently do research with the BME department.
If you have any questions about cross-disciplinary research or research in general, please feel free to contact me. Also reach out with any questions about CHE as a whole!
Hi everyone! My name is Hayden Ni and I am a junior in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomanufacturing and a minor in Food Science. I chose chemical engineering because of the diverse career opportunities it offers and the ability to apply technical problem-solving skills across a wide range of industries. My favorite thing about the department is the people, whether its classmates, club members, or professors. You can tell that everyone genuinely cares and is rooting for your success. As an ambassador, I’m excited to give back and share the same support and encouragement that I’ve received!
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the Biomanufacturing concentration, co-ops or internships, Food Science, or engineering organizations like AIChE and Engineering Ambassadors. I’d be happy to connect!
Hey! I'm Kason Parrish, a current junior in Chemical Engineering concentrating in Biomanufacturing Sciences. I chose ChemE because it aligned well with my interest in pursuing a career in pharmaceutical manufacturing. I'm passionate about supporting my peers, and becoming an ambassador for CBE has given me a great opportunity to be a peer mentor. My favorite part of ChemE is definitely the BTEC labs, it's so fun getting hands-on experience with industry quality equipment!
Feel free to reach out if you're interested in the Biomanufacturing Sciences Concentration (Downstream Processing/Validation Engineering), Biomanufacturing research, or anything else BTEC related. I'm happy to chat about classes, labs, scheduling, research, or career paths in pharma!
Hi, I'm Riley! As a transfer student, I joined the CHE department sophomore year and was welcomed by lifelong friends. The culture of compassion and collaboration in the department and all of the opportunities CHE has brought me- like the research I conduct, the internship I participated in, and even my current job offer- drove me to become an ambassador. As an ambassador, I am able to share my story and remind students that your path does not have to be linear to be successful. Transferring to NC State to gain a CHE degree was one of the best decisions I've made that has dictated the course of my life. I love the ability to encourage students to pursue what I believe is a fulfilling major on all fronts: socially, technically, and intellectually. Becoming an ambassador has allowed me to recognize how proud I am to be a CHE at NC State!
Contact me if you are interested in Nanoscience, Undergraduate Research, or the Crafts Center!
Im RJ and I'm an ambassador because I like to bring out the best in people, and being one gives me a platform to help make sure everyone has the resources and support they need to be their best. I love being a Chem E because of the possibilities it opens up. We gain a very diverse skillset that can be applied across any industry and pairs well with many other disciplines, like biotechnology (which I'm a big fan of).
Contact me if you are interested in a minor in Business, Studying Abroad, AIChE, and Campus Involvement like Student Government.
I'm Ryan! I am currently a senior in chemical engineering with plans to pursue a ChemE degree focusing in Stem Cell Engineering. I am purusing both the honors and biomolecular concentration. I have always been interested in cell biology and cell engineering. ChemE allows me to research regenerative medicine in a way that will be viable to produce at a large scale while being cost effective to ensure accessible access to life saving medication. Serving as an ambassador provides an amazing opportunity to get further involved with the ChemE community at NCSU. Both from the student and faculty perspective. Being able to provide advice and perspective from my experiences has been deeply rewarding!
Contact me if you are interested in the bio side of ChemE, graduate school, research or really anything at all!
