You need to have a sign to put above your pen at the fair. Use a 1/2 poster because you're sharing pens so there isn't a lot of room. You can also decorate the pens. The theme this year is Fairy Tales, but decorating in an FFA theme works too. This can be hand done or computer made.
Your poster must include:
Your Name
Newaygo County CTC FFA
Your Animal's Name
A spot to put your animal's final weight (weighed at the fair)
A picture of you and the animal is nice, but not required
You need to have a sign pre-made as a thank you for the buyer. Again, make it pretty small so it fits! It needs to have a blank spot to put the buyer's name on it! It can also include a spot to put the price/lb. You will hang this up the night of the auction!
Finally, you need to have a buyer's thank you gift. It can be small - a nice pie, gift basket, recipe book for grilling, etc. Bring it to the auction. One per animal.
As an FFA member that is showing at the fair, you can get a discounted wristband that gets you into the night events at the fair. Information is below. Typically, you can pick them up in the fair office or by the first exhibit building.
