In October 2025, Seneca Mentoring Youth Links (SMY) partnered with the Child Care Resource Center to provide a series of three Parent Cafe events dedicated to SMYL parents. A Parent Cafe is a small in person group discussion, involving sharing the experiences, challenges, and ideas of everyone involved. Parents and caregivers can connect with one another in a non-judgemental setting, with the group being led by fellow parent hosts. The parent cafe series focuses on five protective factors to strengthen families. Food and childcare are also provided at no cost to the participants.
