2nd Grade Teacher Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your child’s second grade teacher this year!   

I grew up in Fort Collins I have a degree in Liberal Studies from Vanguard University of Southern California.  I have been working in education for 13 years.  

When I am not here I love to read, crochet, and teach fitness classes around Fort Collins.  My favorite thing is to spend time with my husband and kids.  I have a daughter age 24 who lives in the DC area with her husband.  And I have two boys ages 22 and 19 that live in Windsor so I still get to see them once in a while.  

I am super excited to read great books with your children and share my discovery of the love of reading.

I'm so excited to be in class with your children!  I met many of them in kindergarten and first grade, and I'm looking forward to knowing them better.

I have my Bachelor of Science in Education from John Brown University, and I was a middle school teacher before having children.  Teaching my own kids to read was a priceless experience for me, and I am excited to share a love for reading with your children also. When I'm not at school, you can find me reading, traveling to visit friends and family, sewing, and especially spending time with my four children, aged seven to 21. The younger three attend Ascent.
