2nd Grade Teacher Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your child’s second grade teacher this year!  I got to know many of your students last year during lunch and recess and am so excited to get to know them even better.  

I grew up in Fort Collins I have a degree in Liberal Studies from Vanguard University of Southern California and have been working in education for 10 years.  

When I am not here I love to read, crochet, and teach fitness classes around Fort Collins.  My favorite thing is to spend time with my husband and kids.  I have a daughter age 23 who lives in the DC area with her husband.  And I have two boys ages 21 and 18 that I still get to hang around with. 

I am super excited to read great books with your children and share my discovery of the love of reading.

I have lived in Colorado for nearly six years. I love classical education and have taught middle school math, science, and language arts. I have my Bachelor of Science in Education from John Brown University.  Teaching my own children to read was a priceless experience for me, and I am excited to share a love for reading with your children also. When I'm not at school, you can find me reading, traveling to visit friends and family, sewing, and especially spending time with my four children, aged seven to 21. The younger three attend Ascent.
