Meet the TA

Hello 1st grade families! It is an honor to serve Ms. Priest and your children this year as a TA at Ascent!

I grew up as 1 of 5 girls on a farm in rural Michigan. My studies took me to Pensacola Christian College where I graduated with my Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Art and English.

When I am not at school, you’ll most likely find me hanging out at home or the mountains with my amazing husband and three boys. We love being together - whether it’s baseball, camping, or just doing life. 

I am thrilled to have been involved with Ascent since 2020, when I stopped homeschooling and enrolled our sons here. Last year, I enjoyed being in many of the classrooms at Ascent as a parent volunteer and substitute teacher.

This year as a TA I look forward to working with these first graders on a daily basis. Training the minds and hearts of the next generation is not something I take lightly. It is a privilege and great responsibility to partner with you in teaching them the good, the true and the beautiful. I am looking forward to a great year of learning together!
