Waimea Intermediate School RTLB Liaison Responsibilities
Send the emails each term to remind teachers, staff and Waimea Kāhui Ako Liaison RTLB of KTap obligations.
Email 1 - Term 2 Week 2: Start process - give information
Email 2 - Term 2 Week 8: Reminder of due date for KTap list
Email 3 - Term 3 Week 1: Reminder of process and due dated
Email 4 - Term 3 Week 5: Whānau and student voice remainder - deadline reminder
Meet with the transitioning out schools as they meet with the SLT Waimea Intermediate School team to discuss inducting students in Term 3.
Oversee tracking documents for KTap students.
Email Kāhui Ako for current email list of all SENCO in Kāhui.
Store all received information from transitioning out schools.
Ensure all information for Inducting schools have been received and shared with the inducting SLT and SENCo. Ensure other RTLB Inducting School Liaison are kept in the loop and are aware of the process.
Discuss all KTap students who will be inducted during Term 4 RTLB Liaison visits. Ensure SLT of Inducting school are aware of students who require extra accommodations.
Monitor newly inducted students through Liaison meetings in Term 1 and discuss if any KTap students who may need a referral to the RTLB service in Week 6 Term 1.
Meet with SENCo as required to discuss KTap students.
Information on Students who have KTaps will be added to the same KTap form as students progress through schools in the Waimea Kāhui Ako.
Email Liaison RTLB and SENCo if any deadlines have been missed.
Ensure the email details of the Liaison School RTLB are updated every year.
