Criteria for KTap

KTAP Criteria: 

Students who fit this criteria will require KTap transition support.

• Any student who transfers during the year between Waimea Kāhui Ako Schools.

• RTLB referral during the past two years.

• Student has Assistive Technology.

• Professional diagnosis.

• Serious health issues and Medication for such.

• Two years below expectation academically.

• Ministry funded students. e.g. ESOL, ICS, ORRs, HHN.

• Low Attendance (80% and below).

• Stood down or previously excluded.

• Any formalised support or outside agency involvement. 

• Historical challenges which could re occur.

• Any other student who the school considers at risk and needing additional transitional support.

N.B. SENCO of transitioning Kura to discuss students with their RTLB who do not require a full KTap but are identified in an area above that should be identified to the inducting Kura
