Moodle Quiz

Viewing a Student Grade Report 

The grade report provide a breakdown of student scoring includes the points earned for each question. 

Step 1: Click on the Quiz title in the course.

Step 2:  Click the attempts link.

Note: The attempts link only appears once students have submitted a quiz attempt. 

Step 3:  Select Grades from the drop-down menu.

Note: The attempts link only appears once students have submitted a quiz attempt. 

A table will appear that displays Quiz submission details.

A: Filter results by student first and/or last name. 

B:  Points earned listed by question number.

C. Overall score out of the maximum grade value.  Note: Maximum grade value is adjusted on the Quiz edit quiz screen. 

D. Review the entire  quiz attempt for a student.

E. Export Quiz data in a file for offline viewing.

Viewing a Student Response Report

The student response report details the choices selected  by each student in their submission. 

Step 1: Click on the Quiz title in the course.

Step 2:  Click the attempts link.

Note: The attempts link only appears once students have submitted a quiz attempt. 

Step 3:  Select Responses from the drop-down menu.

Note: The attempts link only appears once students have submitted a quiz attempt. 

A table will appear that displays Quiz submission details. 

A: Filter results by student first and/or last name. 

B:  Selected response choice listed by question number.

C. Overall score out of the maximum grade value.  Note: Maximum grade value is adjusted on the Quiz edit quiz screen. 

D. Review the entire  quiz attempt for a student.

E. Export Quiz data in a file for offline viewing.

Viewing a Statistical Analysis

The statistics report can be used to analyze student results and determine the effectiveness of the assessment. Moodle Quiz statistics are organized in two reporting areas.  Detailed information about Quiz analytics can be found in this Moodle Doc.

The upper Quiz Information section provides an analysis of the entire quiz.   A basic summary of measures are found in this document.

The lower Quiz Structure Analysis reports on each question within the quiz. A basic summary of measures are found in this document.
