Echo360
Echo360
Echo360 is a learning transformation platform and system that allows faculty at Nazareth University to record and livestream video lectures for students to view online at any time. Using Echo360, students can access previous and live class sessions.
There are a limited number of classrooms/spaces that can support Echo360, and faculty looking to utilize this resource need to establish a connection between Moodle and Echo360 at the start of each semester. You can request your course be scheduled with Echo360 here. Faculty new to Echo360 should review the Overview Site first.
Note: Google Chrome is the recommended web browser for accessing Echo360, as its functionality can be impacted by the use of other web browsers.

Echo360 now offers the ability to embed questions within existing videos, requiring a student's response before they can proceed with the content, thus creating an interactive experience.
To create a poll to a video, go to Library. Select the video you want to add the poll to, and select the Polls Menu on the left (see Figure 1).
Create your poll. Once completed, access the Media Editor tab, which is two above the Polls Menu, and indicate where you want your poll to appear during the video.
For more information on embedded polling, please refer to the resources attached below.

Echo360 offers flexible sharing options to suit various needs. You can share content publicly by generating a URL link that allows anyone to view the media, which is ideal for open access or embedding in external sites, or privately by entering an individual's email address. Additionally, the Collections feature lets you organize and share groups of related content with select users or entire courses, making it easier to manage access and collaboration.
To share content, navigate to the Library tab (or Collections for grouped content). Find the content you wish to share and select Publishing from the menu under the video's name. From there, you may refer to your options below.

Selecting the Links tab will opt for public sharing.
If the tab is empty, you can select Add Link to generate a URL that will give access to anyone who has the link, similar to sharing files in Google Drive.

Faculty, like students, can use Echo360's Universal Capture to record video presentations that include their screen content, voice narration, and optional webcam feed. Universal Capture will need to be installed first, so please refer to the UC Requirements to make sure your computer is compatible and the UC Installation Instructions to download the application and use for recording.
After downloading and installing Universal Capture, you will be prompted to log in. Faculty should search for their Naz email address. The page will then redirect you to the Nazareth University login portal, where you will log in with your MyNaz credentials.
We've included a video tutorial that will guide you through the UC navigation and process of recording with Echo360.
Upon completion of your recording, it will be uploaded into the Echo360 Library. Once it is finished uploading, a pop-up will display the link for you to access the video. You will then be prompted to log in to Echo360 in a browser. Using your MyNaz credentials, you will be directed to your video recording.
