Faculty are able to adjust scoring and correct answers for Quizzes after the attempt has been submitted by the student. This includes updating the question settings to allow more than one choice to be scored correctly.
The guide explains:
How to allow multiple correct answers for a multiple choice question
How to regrade submitted Quiz attempts to reflect changes to scoring
Rather than changing question content, faculty can also simply remove a question from final quiz score.
Questions can be set to allow more than one answer to receive full credit. This setting can be applied when the question is created or after the Quiz is submitted by students.
Note: If applying this setting after the Quiz has been submitted, make sure you regrade the Quiz attempts to apply the new scoring as shown in the next section!.
Step 1: Click on the Quiz title in the course.
Step 2: Once viewing the Quiz, click on Questions in the menu bar to edit the quiz.
Step 3: Locate the question that needs multiple answers and click on the Gear to edit the question.
Step 4: Verify One answer only is selected under the One or Multiple Answers field.
Note: this setting is required to allow more than one answer for full credit!
Step 5: Update the Grade field for all choices that should be correctt to 100%.
Step 6: Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen when finished.
Note: Any updates to question choices will apply to any future submissions for the quiz. If students have already submitted the quiz, faculty will need to re-grade the exam to apply the changes to past attempts.
Any changes to question answers or scoring in a Quiz do not automatically apply previously submitted attempts. After updates are completed, faculty need to apply the answer changes to past submissions using the re-grade process.
