Using the Custom Text Editor
Moodle provides access to a custom text editor that can be used to generate content in most fields that are visible to students . This advanced text editor can be used to adjust text formatting and inserting media for students. The features found in the custom text editor can be used when developing course content using assignments, discussion forums, pages, quizzes, section headings, text labels, wikis and more!
Note: For some text editor features, you will need to select (or highlight) the text before the format change can be applied.
Font formatting
a. change size
b. change color
c. bold, italizcize, underline
n. strikethrough
o. subscript
p. subscript
t. clear formatting
Paragraph formatting
d. align left, align middle, align right
e. right indent, left indent
f. under ordered list (bullet points), and ordered list (numbers)
Hyperlinking
g. link or unlink websites, desktop files. images, videos, or audio. Highlight the desired content and click the icon to link.
i. insert a video recording
m. enter H5p content
r. insert a special character
s. create a table
w. insert HTML code (ex. for content embeds or iframes)
x. enter an Emoticon
y. undo or redo changes
