Read-Alouds: Select books to listen to aloud at justbooksreadaloud.com. Students can listen to stories in different languages, as well. Another great resource for read-alouds is storylineonline.net. You can also log into Evergreen, the Whittemore library's resource, with your library account. As students listen to the story, they can:
Ask questions they have
Talk about what is happening in the story
Share their ideas about characters and their actions
Think about what the author wants us, as readers, to learn at the end of the story
