Questions they have
What is happening in the story
Ideas they have about characters and their actions
What the author wants us, as readers, to learn at the end of the story
Writing and Social Studies
Using their notebooks, students should write about their opinions, thoughts and ideas every day. They can use the texts from the Whittemore Library's Evergreen system, or read nonfiction texts, as well, that promote Social Studies learning.
