I honor that every family’s financial situation is different. If you are committed to homebirth and aligned with the care I provide, please don’t let cost be a barrier. 

A limited number of sliding-scale or flexible payment plans are available each year to eligible applicants initiating care in the first trimester. 

If you’re interested in discussing these options, I welcome an open and respectful conversation. Let’s find a way that works for both of us.

Financial Expectations for Comprehensive Midwifery Care

Thank you for considering Naturally Mine for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care! It's an honor and privilege to support you throughout this important season.

Our comprehensive midwifery care includes:

• Prenatal visits (in-home or in-office), including 

• Lab work and screenings performed in-house (cost included depending on package selection)

• Birth Kit and most water birth supplies

• 24/7 on-call support starting at 37 weeks

• Labor and homebirth attendance

• Immediate postpartum and newborn care

• Postpartum follow-up visits through 6 weeks

• Routine Newborn Procedures

Billing and Payment Policy

Our practice is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Payment for your maternity care is made directly to our practice.

To better support patients seeking reimbursement from their insurance company, we no longer charge or invoice using a single global maternity fee. Instead, services are documented and itemized individually; we still bill a standard fee to our clients as we are a cash-pay-only facility. This allows us to provide a detailed superbill that accurately reflects the care you receive and may be submitted to your insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.

Although services are itemized rather than billed as a global package, you are still enrolling in comprehensive midwifery care for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. The total fee for this care remains due in full by 36 weeks' gestation.

Paying your balance by 36 weeks allows us to focus on your care during the final weeks of pregnancy and ensures your account is current before your anticipated birth.

Insurance Reimbursement Disclaimer

As a courtesy, we will provide a superbill upon request. Submission of the superbill to your insurance company is the client's responsibility. We cannot guarantee reimbursement, payment amounts, or claim approval, as these decisions are made by your insurance carrier according to your specific policy.

By receiving care through our practice, you acknowledge that payment is your responsibility regardless of any insurance reimbursement you may or may not receive.

Standard Care ($7,000)

Ultrasound: One Diagnostic U/S (dating or anatomy scan)

Standard labs: Prenatal panel, GDM, CBC, GBS *additional lab fees may occur

Peace of Mind ($8,800)

(minimum recommended for first-time vaginal birth intending to pay CASH for all labs, etc.)

Prenatal Care, Labor and Birth, Postpartum

Ultrasound: Dating scan and anatomy scan OR Anatomy scan and 1 3D scan (value $600)

Labs: All labs *with the exception of NIPT testing

Birth Doula (valued at $1850)

Naturally Mine Movement Academy ($300)

6-week Naturally Mine Movement Academy Barre+Education course 

Naturally Mine Birth Scholarship

Individuals and families who are able are invited to donate to the scholarship fund to support families

 who may otherwise lack access to midwifery care.  

These donations are kept in a secure account to support those in need and sustain and make midwifery care

 accessible to families across the Treasure Valley.
