Head Injuries

POST-HEAD INJURY INSTRUCTIONS
Call your student's pediatrician with ANY questions about symptoms after a head injury.

Please call your pediatrician or go to the emergency room if your student is reporting and/or experiencing any of the following symptoms:

vomiting

seizure or convulsion

any loss of consciousness, immediately after injury or later following injury

any headache that is severe or worsens or continues

any changes in your students behavior (i.e lethargy, difficult to awaken, irritability, or other unusual/abnormal behavior)

clumsy, stumbling, changes in walking and/or coordination

any appearance of confusion or slurred speech

any dizziness that does not resolve or recurs

any discharge from nose or ears
