School counselors focus their skills, time, and energy on direct and indirect services to students. Direct services are in-person interactions between school counselors and students to support academic, social and emotional growth. This includes classroom lessons and counseling in small group or individual settings. Indirect services are provided on behalf of students as a result of the school counselors’ interactions with others including referrals for additional assistance, consultation and collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators and other educators.

mmacdonald@natickps.orgI'm happy to say this will be my 18th year as a school counselor here at Kennedy! I truly enjoy being able to see students in the early years of middle school grow into wonderful young adults ready to leave for high school. I received my Master in Education in Counseling from Cambridge College in 2008. I have three very energetic children who keep me busy; Jack (13), Kaitlin (12), and Lauren (7). When I am not at school you can probably find me vacationing down the Cape, shopping at the mall, or enjoying time with friends and family.

I am excited to be working as a school counselor at Kennedy for my fifth year! I received my Bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst and my Masters in School Counseling from Boston College. I currently live in Boston with my husband Chris and our daughter Kinsley (1). When I am not at school you can likely find me walking around Boston or spending time down at the Cape. I love spending time on the water, getting together with friends, baking, reading, and watching the Patriots.

I’m excited to be working in Natick and serve as one of the school counselors at Kennedy. This will be my tenth year at Kennedy and my 14th year working as a school counselor. I grew up in Newark, Delaware and moved to Massachusetts in 2013. I spent two years attending West Chester University in Pennsylvania and then finished up my Bachelors at the University of Delaware. I then went on to earn my Master’s in Education in School Counseling at Wilmington University. Outside of school, I love fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I have two sons, Jake (8), Cole (6), and a daughter, Aubrey (2). I absolutely love baseball and spent several years coaching high school baseball in Delaware.

I am Kelly Morin and this will be my 17th year at Kennedy! Wow that's a long time-well, it's a great school! I love what I do and find great joy in watching students grow and succeed. I completed both my Bachelors and Masters programs at Boston College-GO EAGLES! I have two daughters, Maya and Cecelia, and my oldest will be starting middle school this Fall! When I'm not at school I enjoy running, reading, singing with my girls and I love the beach. I'm a sports fanatic too (especially the Celtics) and love watching most sports on TV.
