NCAA
The NCAA requires that all student athletes planning on playing at a Division I or Division II level must register with the eligibility center. Students can register with a Division III non-certified account if they are unsure. A non-certified account can be converted to a DI or DII certified account at a later date.
It is best to register at the end of your Junior year. This will assist potential recruiters in knowing your academic and amateurism status.
Complete registration on-line at the following address: www.eligibilitycenter.org There is a one-time fee to register.
When registration is complete print a copy of your registration for your files. You will need to complete a Transcript Release Form for the high school. Your transcripts will be sent at the end of your sixth semester of high school (end of your Junior year).
The NCAA Eligibility Center will only accept scores sent directly from the testing agency. When you took the SAT/ACT, if you did not list the NCAA as a place to send your scores you will need to contact the testing agency directly to have your scores sent to the eligibility center. If you are registering to take the SAT/ACT list the NCAA as an institution to which you would like your scores sent. Use code "9999".
Students with a documented disability will need to inform the NCAA Eligibility Center about the disability. A copy of the professional diagnosis and a copy of the IEP, ITP, or 504 plan must be submitted with the accommodations noted. (One of the documents should be dated within the last 3 years.)
Specific information can be obtained through "The Guide for the College Bound Student Athlete" .
