Keeping our environment clean is a shared responsibility and on March 21, 2026, the Pulangi WAT proved that, by actively participating in a clean-up drive in Maramag, Bukidnon.
The activity was conducted under the Adopt-an-Estero Program of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Maramag, bringing together individuals who are committed to protecting local waterways and promoting proper waste management.
Armed with sacks and a strong sense of purpose, the team worked along the estero, collecting various types of solid waste that had accumulated in the area. Most of the garbage consisted of plastics and other non-biodegradable materials that, if left unattended, could harm both the environment and nearby communities.
By the end of the activity, the group had collected approximately 50 kilograms of waste. These were carefully placed in sacks and later picked up by a collection truck for proper disposal.
More than just a clean-up effort, the activity served as a reminder of how small actions can make a big difference when people work together. It also highlighted the importance of taking care of our waterways, especially in areas like Maramag, where communities depend on natural resources for daily living.
Through PULWAT's participation, the team continues to show its dedication to environmental protection proving that real change starts with simple, collective efforts.
