When there is a need for a remote day (snow day, power outage, etc), District 203 will be using the e-Learning model in order to continue learning rather than make the day up. The expectation of 5th graders is that they will log onto Canvas no later than 9am to begin e-Learning. They will get the daily slides like normal and complete the activities for each subject. The work is expected to be completed and turned in when appropriate. They are expected to work for around 5 hours.

Here is the approximate breakdown:

-60 minutes math

-90 minutes literacy

-30 minutes SS/science

-60 minutes specials (chosen from choice board)

-30 minutes SEL

There will two Zoom meetings: 9:15-9:45; 11:00-11:30; and 1:00-1:30.  Students can message us questions via Canvas if they have them and we will get back to them as soon as possible. If your student is absent, please call the main office like normal. They will have an additional day to complete the work.
