Jazz Voices

This group is a small auditioned ensemble for grades 9-12. This is an ensemble that is extra-curricular and meets twice a week, for an hour and fifteen minute each rehearsal. They perform literature from standard jazz repertoire. The focus of this auditioned group is improvisation and the fundamentals of a jazz style and sound. You must be enrolled in choir, orchestra or band in order to audition for this ensemble. The Jazz Voices perform on many concerts and at the Coffee House in Uptown Normal, along with festivals and private parties throughout the local communities.
