Advanced Placement (AP)
The College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) program is nationwide with a vast range of college-level courses and exams. All SCPS high schools offer a variety of AP courses. Students may earn college credit as determined by passing scores on AP exams and/or other course-specific requirements, depending on the college or university. For more information, visit College Board- AP.
WSHS offers several AP courses. Please view our Curriculum Guide for more information.
AP Capstone Diploma
Winter Springs High School offers the AP Capstone Program to students seeking an elevated diploma option. Rather than teaching subject-specific content, this program contains two courses that develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. These courses are designed to complement other AP courses the students take in high school. Students who complete the two-year program can earn one of two different AP Capstone awards: the AP Capstone Certificate and the AP Capstone Diploma.
For Class of 2026-2028: Advanced Placement Capstone Diploma Seminole County Public Schools in partnership with College Board, offers the AP Capstone Diploma for students who complete specialized Advanced Placement courses and complement those courses with additional Advanced Placement coursework.
