AfterGlow is a 3D rail shooter set in space with neon-themed graphics. The player’s spaceship must avoid obstacles, shoot enemies and fly through hoops, all encountered in time to the music’s rhythm. The player can move on two axes and is constantly moving forward. Some features include following enemies that shoot at you, rotating obstacles and a points system. The dev time was three weeks and Unity was the engine used to make it.
There was a team of six working on AfterGlow consisting of three programmers, two artists and a designer. My role was lead programmer and I ended up taking on a majority of the tasks as the other two programmers were absent from the team. The tasks I was responsible for include:
