In this section, we have selected a wide variety of sources with differing perspectives. Because it would be very time consuming to explore all these sources on your own, we are going to take advantage of collective intelligence.
A key aspect of collective intelligence is being a self directed learner. You must have your own objectives and then prepare yourself to share the results of your learning with the group. Another aspect to being a self-directed learner is challenging yourself, so make sure to select from a variety of media. The Google doc we prepared helps you set some goals, but we encourage you to set up your own way of documenting your goal and tracking your learning. If you have a different set of learning challenges for yourself, share them with us in the assignment comment section on Schoology.
As you skim, scan, and consider the selections, collect a list of sources (minimum 9, but let your curiosity determine your limit. Plus, this is a good opportunity to collect kudos points. Make sure to keep track of your kudos points) that pique your interest. You will add these to the Google Doc, complete the chart, and submit it in Schoology.
