Mr. John Patchell

Hi, my name is John Patchell and I have been a teacher at San Pedro for nearly two decades. I graduated from UCR with a degree in Creative Writing and Focus in British Literature.

I firmly believe that being an avid reader creates strong writers. Hopefully, all students will become lifelong readers. I am trying to prepare my sophomores to be ready for AP Language and ultimately AP Literature, where having a plethora of classic literature under your belt is a huge advantage.

In my off time I indulge in strategy games and other intellectual pursuits.

I fully believe that all students can excel and a positive mindset goes a long way.

I currently teach 10th Grade Honors and AP Literature.
