ZENTANGLE

What theme/idea did you decide to make with this artwork?

this piece was an extraction from the depths of my mind. i decided to do a bald person for the zentangle, to give flowers to the forever iconic bald Britney moment in 2007, which i feel so attached to!! and the album from the same time period as well, "blackout." i was going for a very trippy, acid, sort of hypnosis aesthetic. but this was mostly freehand and i was making it up as i went. 

1. Describe something you did to make sure you balanced the black and white in this composition?  for every section of black i did, i made sure to add a equal part of white next to it. i started off with 80% white - 20% black in my rough draft, and gradually added more into empty parts so it would be equal in the end.

2. Looking at your artwork, what is something you are proud of? I'm proud of the detail i put in, and the various patterns.

3. Reflecting on your artwork, what is something you would change and/or do differently if you were to do this again?  I would have another backup for a black marker. My marker ran out, and i had to literally SQUEEZE every last drop which took DAYS. but, i got it!
