In our collage unit, we made Notan, Illusion of Depth, and Paper as Color Collage. I chose Paper is my palette for my final because I wanted my scene to feel very colorful. I fixed a problem with the background by making objects smaller and overlapping them to create a better illusion of depth. I’m proud of how the placement and color make the scene look realistic and fun to explore!

Which technique did you pick?
I used size to create depth and overlapping textures in the composition.
Why did you choose it?
I liked how it plays with space and scale, making a surreal mix of foreground and background elements.
Problem & solution:
The cd’s placement and scale looked off, so I trimmed and moved parts to fix the composition and add depth.
Most successful part:
The bright color, strong texture, and balance of positive and negative space make it stand out.

Paper as Color Collage: My collage is a tribute to the album "brat and it's completely different but also still brat" by Charli xcx. If i'd painted this, it would probably be less messy and more solid; and more saturated.
