STEM Human Anatomy

Students who choose Human Anatomy should have interest in the medical field. Individuals who take this course examine the interactions of the human body systems as they explore identity, power, movement, protection, and homeostasis in the body. Exploring science in action, students build organs and tissues on a skeletal Manikin, use data acquisition software to monitor body functions such as muscle movement, reflex and voluntary action, and respiration. Candidates should have an interest in STEM fields, the maturity to handle independent work, the responsibility to use computers and equipment appropriately, and a willingness to work well with others.
