LPSD Title VI Indian Education
The primary goal of the Lafourche Parish Indian Education Department is to empower the students with skills that will ensure a quality education, while preserving Native American culture.
Student Eligibility:
Students are eligible if they are enrolled or have a parent or grandparent enrolled in a recognized tribe
Students must claim tribal membership through one of the following categories:
-Federal recognized tribe
-State recognized tribe
-Tribes must be indigenous to the United States
A valid 506 form signed and dated by the parent or guardian
Once completed and accepted, 506 forms are good for the duration of the student's enrollment of the LEA

Cultural Enrichment Activities and Field Trips
ACT/College Prep Courses and support
Scholarship Information
Provide Native language instruction, tribal history instruction and culturally designed summer camps
Providing information on education opportunities post high school
Annual Summer Enrichment Camp
