Phoenix Elementary School
Please stop by between 4:00 and 7:00pm for a chance to meet your school's orchestra teacher, rent an instrument, and get answers to any further questions you may have. All local music vendors will be present so that you can rent an instrument and purchase supplies.
Parking is available in the United Lutheran lots. Please enter through Door 1 or Door 4.

Quality instruments are available to rent from several local music stores. Please do not purchase an instrument online without verifying with me that it is a smart choice; there are many "violin shaped objects", commonly known as "VSO's", available online that will be frustrating for your student to use easily in class and at home. Families with financial concerns should inquire with local shops about discounted rentals for "cosmetically challenged" instruments or speak with me regarding our limited number of scholarship school instruments.
String instruments come in a variety of sizes to fit the size of your student; please have your student sized by me or a knowledgable rental associate before renting an instrument. Instruments that are too large will cause discomfort and pain while playing. Most area music shops easily allow students to trade up to the larger size when ready as well as apply rental fees towards the purchase of a full size instrument when ready.
Please follow the links below for a summary of local rental rates and options to help guide your decision, as well as supply lists for beginning and continuing orchestra students. Students are responsible for having an instrument on the first day of lessons.
