Experience the Multiage Classroom Setting

The first step to determine if the program is a good match for your family is to take a tour. The tours include visiting the classrooms while school is in session and experiencing Sherwood Forest, our outdoor learning environment. You also get to meet the teachers and talk with parents that are already in the program. It is strongly encouraged to bring your child/children on the tour!

Please reach out to Orangethorpe Elementary's office to schedule a tour. The office is open weekdays 7:30am-4pm, phone number is 714-447-7730.

After the tour, most families are very interested in the program and join the waiting list. During January and February, you will be invited to visit the classroom again for a floor visit. During a floor visit, a parent or guardian (typically the one that will be volunteering in the classroom) joins the class for a morning. You will see firsthand how parent volunteers help support small learning groups.

The final step is meeting with one of our teachers. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share any concerns and get to know the teacher that will impact your child's education for the next 4 years (if starting in Kindergarten).
