April Class Recap

Friday Library with Mrs. Amber. This week we continued with a poetry celebration, "haiku!"

Mrs. Amber modeled a haiku counting with her fingers while reading, amazing skill!

Our fieldtrip to see, "Charlotte's Web" at the La Habra Depot Theater. It was an amazing play by lively actors! Couldn't believe how much the book and the play were in common, to the very words that Charlotte said! Lions got autographs from the casts afterward. Then on to lunch and play at the park with friends!

Friday Library Day with Mrs. Amber is always fun!!! This week, she read, "A Giraffe and a Half" and our lions could not resist repeating the lines with her!

Check out a video clip posted in this week's Seesaw!

Lions are clapping to the music notes taught by All-the-Arts teacher, Mr. Hafez.

Happy Autism Awareness Week, where a smile and a wave go a long way! Thank you lions for participating in the various spirit activities: wearing tye dye, red/hearts, hats, and team jerseys to PJs on the raining day Friday! YOU ROCK!

Mrs. E taught our class how to create an animal that would live in any habitat. This is our "create" clay lab session 1. In a month, artists will "glaze" their animal pieces.

Lions listened to the steps that would need to create a clay pot piece in our VP Clay Lab.

Mrs. Amber read, "My Brother Charlie" in celebration of our Autism Awareness Week, at our Friday Library Day

Lions listened to a true story about a brother who is autistic.
