Requirements for GHP are 6 hours of volunteering during the quarter. It needs to be split between 2 locations in any increments. Such as 3 and 3 or 30min and 5.5hours.
-Check out Calendar for upcoming group volunteer activities.
-Links and suggested organizations are located below
-Hours done on break count towards next quarter normally
COVID Related-
We are allowing some flexibility if you dont get all 6 hours done during the quarter to carry over.
Online volunteering counts
Money donations to established organizations that work with underserved/vulnerable populations. $25 = 1 hour
We suggest our partner FIMRC.org but there are many others out there
You can always volunteer at locations you are interested in. A website I like to look for events is https://www.sparkthechangecolorado.org/ where you can search for location and times you are free. Also, any volunteering for SNA can count for GHP too! Don’t forget to bring your form to get signed with you. Found here or attached… http://mydsn.net/GlobalHealth/documents/GHP-Community-Outreach-Journal.pdf
As always you can volunteer on your own but it must be volunteering with humans (not animals, unless it is therapy pets), it cannot be things like serving alcohol at an event like Great American Beer Fest volunteering and it must be with an established named organization (ie not babysitting for a friend). It will need to be things I can confirm you participated in such as a set organization or email me with other suggestions. I am being flexible this term with different ideas!!!

Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for more than 128 years. Our history is rooted in a love of Christ and a commitment to share that love with others.
At multiple locations throughout our community, we help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.

In 1987, my dad was in Brazil on a consulting assignment with the country’s president. His interpreter, a medical student, invited my dad to visit the small clinic outside of Rio de Janeiro at which she volunteered. What he saw moved him to his core. A community without healthcare, doctors without resources and people without hope.
Returning home to Denver, he knew he had to help. So, he and my mom began to collect medical supplies to send to Brazil. Thanks to the generosity of friends, they filled their garage with donations and paid to deliver those life-saving items to the people who needed them the most. And that was the beginning of Project C.U.R.E.
Ours is a grassroots story. Project C.U.R.E. wasn’t born from a mandate or a commission. There was no study or report. My family was not qualified to enter into the arena of international healthcare. We simply responded to a need and brought all of our energies to bear on saving lives and changing the world on behalf of others who simply don’t have a second chance.
Today, we operate huge distribution warehouses in six major cities across the U.S. as well as a network of smaller collection centers across other states where donated items are gathered and then delivered to our warehouses. With the help and generosity of our partners and volunteers, we deliver more donated medical supplies and equipment to under-developed regions than any other organization in the world.
Although many years have passed since our inception, our passion for serving others is unabated. Yet, we tread lightly and will not enter a community without an invitation. We exist to help local healthcare professionals—not to displace them. Today, our work and mission are more important than ever, helping to bridge staggering health resource gaps in the developing world by empowering doctors and nurses with the tools they need to treat disease, deliver vaccines, perform life-changing surgeries and ensure safe childbirth. Through the compassion of Project C.U.R.E.'s supporters, hospitals, rural clinics and community health centers all over the world are able to offer quality care and critical medical services to their most vulnerable patients, especially women and young children. And thanks to the dedication of thousands of volunteers nationwide, three to four cargo containers of life-saving aid leave Project C.U.R.E.’s warehouses every week.
Project C.U.R.E will continue to provide an avenue for others to join in service and volunteerism—it is at the core of our value system. And every morning when we wake up, we are renewed with the vision that a small dedicated group of individuals can change the world.
We hope that you will become a part of that future and help us in this humble mission to impact the future for those who deserve a second chance.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to help individuals and families who are in need and homeless to regain their humanity by providing programs that provide both short and long term solutions.
This is shown on every level of what we do whether it's the way we treat people, the quality of the food we feed, the hygiene packs we hand out, our clothing store, or any of our other various programs.
Second, we wanted to inspire people to realize that they too can make an impact and create a habit of volunteering. That one person can change the world, and that no matter how limited your resources everyone can make a difference if they want to badly enough.
