Although I've had many different interests and worked on many different things over the years, this project was the most difficult, the most rewarding, and best shows off what I'm capable of. The project was a 1971 GMC Sprint. It was GMC's answer to the El Camino, only much more rare. In the top left corner, you can see me at age 15 when I first got it. Although it doesn't look like it, the car needed everything done to it. Over the next few years, I rebuilt the engine, fixed up the interior, and gave it a new paint job. I also learned everything I know about project management. These include how long things really take and how much things really cost to get done. When I sold it to come up with the money for college, it made over 600 horsepower and easily ran 12's in the quarter mile with a traction limited 3.08 rear end. The next owners took it to car shows all over the central coast area. It's been winning awards ever since.
As you can see, performance has been a lifelong obsession of mine. I couldn't let the fun end with selling the car, so I got this. It's only 300 cc's, but I've been all over California on it.
Someday :)
