MEDT 8463: Issues in Instructional Technology
The SWOT Analysis I wrote for Issues in Instructional Technology allowed me to evaluate my strengths and weaknesses in utilizing and implementing technology in my classroom. In addition, I was able to identify opportunities for technology implementation in my field. I also determined different threats I might face and must overcome to implement technology within my classroom. This artifact was an opportunity to reflect on my professional growth and content knowledge while helping me identify areas for growth professionally.
MEDT 7490: Visual and Media Literacy in Teaching and Learning
This artifact allowed me to reflect on my journey during the Visual and Media Literacy in Teaching and Learning class. This class allowed me to expand my skills and continue to professionally grow in new areas of technology I have not experienced. This paper allowed me to reflect on my ability to explore different technology resources to improve student learning and improve my skills at implementing them.
Both of these artifacts displayed my professional growth and knowledge in instructional technology. These artifacts showed my ability to reflect on my professional skills and identify areas of strength and weakness. Continual reflection and evaluation are essential in growing as an educator. I found this to be an essential process in helping me grow professionally, learn, and be the most effective teacher for my students. I must continue to expand my knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities that will help me to continue to learn, collaborate with peers, and explore new technology innovations that will help improve student engagement and learning. I need to grow as a teacher to provide the best learning environment for my students.
