This artifact demonstrates how I was able to model and implement strategies of digital tools and resources for a 3rd-grade teacher to help enhance student learning. I helped her understand how as a teacher it is our responsibility to effectively utilize these resources in the correct manner that will best meet the needs of our students.
An understanding of digital citizenship is imperative when in education. Students must learn digital citizenship because technology is becoming more advanced every day. Students must learn to use technology correctly as it becomes a more integral part of classroom instruction. In addition, I need to understand what digital citizenship means and how to present it to my students. I learned the importance of modeling and promoting diversity and cultural understanding in the classroom through digital communication and collaboration with my students and parents. Artifact one helped me understand the importance of being able to analyze every form of technology. I discovered the importance of being able to identify barriers that might be associated with the implementation of different technology. I must be responsible for identifying the pros and cons of implementing technology and ways to overcome those barriers.
