We are looking forward to meeting you in induction week which starts on September 18th 2023. A reminder of your induction week activities can be found here
You will meet the Course Leader, Lucy Stephens and your Year Lead Luke Cooper. You will be formally enrolled, be directed towards lots of information surrounding the campus, facilities and the course. We will give an overview of the coming year and what to expect for assessments. If you have not already completed your DBS and health screening you will need to do this too.
During the week you will meet students in other year groups and have the opportunity to ask them questions about the course.
You will have some lectures detailing lots of information you will need to know; some seminars about professionalism and what we expect of you on the course.
You will meet your Academic Advisor (who will support you academically throughout your 3 years), the Student Support team, and representatives from the SHU Physiotherapy Society.
If you have not accessed the Induction timetable yet, please do so. You have been sent this directly. Groups and academic advisors can be found here
On street parking is limited around the SHU Collegiate Campus! The area is covered by pay for parking bays (if you are lucky enough to find a spot) which may cover you for 3 or 4 hours, and then you have to move you car. The parking wardens are very keen to give out tickets! So it is best not to risk it.
Have a think about how you can get in to campus. If you live out of Sheffield consider a bus, train journey or tram service, park and ride, biking or car share to cut down on the need to park. There are bike locking facilities around the campus. Bus services along Ecclesall Road are frequent to/from the city centre. Find out more at: Travel South Yorkshire
We recommend you do not bring your car unless you really have to.
Blue Badge holders:
If you're a blue badge holder, you can discuss your needs for parking at either campus by phoning us Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 on 0114 225 3868.
