Within this section you will engage with a number of resources that are essential for developing your skills and knowledge around Basic Life Support and patient assessment.

Before the session:

On completion of the face to face session you will be able:
Describe the chain of survival
Deliver standardised CPR in adults
Understand the importance of high quality chest compression with minimal interruption
Recognise and treat a choking patient
Demonstrate the recovery position technique
Understand the importance of PPE when delivering CPR
After the session:
Familiarise yourself with the additional links and resources provided
The Resus Council is an excellent source of information on Basic Life support and the importance of delivering good CPR.
