The physiological movements that occur over the hip?
The muscles that work on the hip?

In clinical practice you would first observe the patient moving actively. This might be a functional demonstration of the problem or a more formal look at physiological movements in specific planes.
You would then move in to check passive range. Check out our goniometry site to find out more!
Before you watch the video consider what function requires Medial (internal) or Lateral (external) rotation of the hip.
