Experience type.
We are required to provide each apprentice with a breadth of placement experience. There are NO formal requirements to have Neuro/CVR/MSK split of placements. We attempt to provide an inpatients, outpatients and community placement opportunity. We also suggest that one placement is from other pillars of practice - so either leadership, research or education. These placements are hugely valuable for achieving wider range of KSBs.
Placement and Assessment forms
All apprentices will be assessed on the common placement assessment framework (CPAF). This is level specific e.g. level 4, level 5, level 6. Reflecting the progression of learning on placement across the course.
All placements are pass or fail. On CPAF, however, you will receive a more detailed indication of your performance on CPAF.
Assessment submission:
Your completed placement assessment form and project will need to be uploaded to the submission point on Blackboard.
If processing your forms after 5 working days from placement finishing due to issues, such as your educator being off sick this must be communicated with the AA/placement lead otherwise this placement block will be marked as a fail.
Educators: Expectations and application of the marking criteria of an apprentice on placement are equal to the BSc level of study, with apprentices not expected to perform to a higher level.
