Personal protective equipment, known as PPE, is part of the infection prevention and control (IPC) standard precautions used to break the chain of infection and reduce the risk of transmission of microorganisms from one person to another.

PLEASE ENSURE WHEN YOU ARE ON PLACEMENT THAT YOU FOLLOW THE INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTOL POLICY IN THE TRUST YOU ARE WORKING IN. YOU MUST BE FIT TESTED FOR AN FFP3 MASK IN A FACE TO FACE SESSION WHILST ON PLACEMENT.
