Sustainable Travel
Maryville College considers sustainable travel a core value. Sustainable travel aims towards preserving the local communities, authenticity and resources of the destination you visit. It refers to three main aspects of the impact that travel has on communities and places: the socio-cultural, environmental and economic impact. Programs and partnerships should consider the social, cultural, economic, and environmental impacts of education abroad programming. We are committed to making a positive impact on the UN Sustainable Development Goals through our education abroad program.
