The Proa Pathway Partnership is a federally-funded program under a five-year, Part A cooperative grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Asian American Native American Pacific Islanders Serving Institutions program.
This program will help Asian American and Pacific Islander students successfully graduate from college and enter into meaningful careers by providing services that will help them identify career paths in STEM, receive mentorship and guidance, and gain research experience that aligns with their educational and career goals in preparation for their transition into Portland State University.
This program allows chosen students to complete their STEM-related bachelor's degree at Portland State University after receiving an associate's degree at the Northen Marianas College.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework by Spring 2023
Be enrolled full-time at the time of application (or have completed an AA/AS)
Must be interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the field of STEM or related field
Upon completing an associate's degree from NMC, students must intend to transfer to Portland State University in the Fall Semester immediately after receiving an associate's degree.
Example: Received Associates degree at the end of Spring 2023. Must begin attending PSU from Fall 2023 to Fall 2024 or scholarship will be forfeited.

Commit to attending the one (1) week Summer Research Academy at Portland State University in June.
